The experience
A good sauna session includes the cooling off, the next round and the conversation in between, not just the time spent in the heat. At Wild Isle, your group has three hours for all of it, without sharing the space or being hurried through a short slot.
Alongside the sauna, the sea-view yurt gives you a warm, private room for changing, sitting down and taking a proper break between rounds.

02
Whether there are two of you or six, there are no other guests on site during your session. The sauna, yurt, shower and welfare facilities are private to your group.
03
The sauna and yurt run from our own off-grid solar array and battery storage, built with reused panels and recycled fish-farm pipe in the mounting.
During your booking
Stay for as long as feels comfortable, add water to the stones for steam and return for another round later if you like.
Use the cold outdoor shower or take a few minutes in the open air, with the machair and hills around you.
Change, sit with a cup of tea and head back into the sauna when you are ready for another round.
Plan your visit
Wild Isle Sauna sits on our croft in Ardroil, on the west coast of Lewis, with the machair, hills and Atlantic outside the door. Directions will be sent with your booking confirmation.
Good to know
Your group has the sauna, cold outdoor shower and warm sea-view yurt to yourselves for three hours. There is drinking water on site, along with a separate compost toilet and washbasin.
Planned prices are £125 for one or two people, plus £15 for each additional guest, up to £185 for six.
The sauna and yurt are off-grid, powered by our solar PV array and battery storage. The array uses reused panels, with recycled fish-farm pipe repurposed in its mounting system.
The first sessions are planned for May 2027. Online booking will open here once the dates are confirmed.
